What does IICRC certification actually cover?

IICRC certification is issued to individual technicians after examination in a specific discipline — water damage restoration, applied structural drying, microbial remediation and so on. A certified firm employs certified technicians and agrees to follow the published standards and a code of conduct.

In practice it means the person deciding how to dry your building has been tested on psychrometry, material behaviour and water categorisation rather than learning on your loss. Our drying and moisture work is built directly on that training.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our vendor portal?

Yes. We issue certificates of insurance naming your entity as certificate holder or additional insured, along with workers’ compensation confirmation, W-9 and safety documentation. Most vendor portals can be completed the same day you ask.

If you manage several properties, it’s usually cleaner to onboard us once through property manager emergency services rather than repeating it per site.

How do you keep occupied areas safe during work?

Work areas are physically separated with poly containment and, where contamination is involved, negative air pressure so nothing migrates into occupied space. Cables are routed and protected, exclusion zones are signed, and noisy or disruptive phases are scheduled outside your operating hours wherever possible.

What changes when the water is contaminated?

Category determines almost everything downstream — PPE, containment, what materials can be dried versus removed, disinfection protocol and clearance criteria. Category 3 water is treated as grossly contaminated, which means porous materials generally come out rather than being dried in place.

Do your certifications help with the insurance claim?

Considerably. Carriers and adjusters are familiar with the IICRC standards, so a scope written against S500 with supporting daily readings is far easier to approve than an undocumented invoice. It also reduces the back-and-forth that stretches a claim over weeks.
