Sprinkler water travels further than you think
Fire suppression systems are designed to flood a space, not to spare it. When a head activates — whether from a real fire, a frozen line, a forklift strike or a failed sprinkler head — water runs along ceiling grids, down wall cavities, through floor penetrations and into the levels below long before anyone reaches the control valve.
That’s why sprinkler losses are almost always multi-floor losses. By the time the system is shut down, you’re dealing with saturated insulation, wet electrical, soaked carpet tiles on three levels, and water sitting in elevator pits and stairwells.
Our crews are built for exactly this. We extract from the top floor down, open and dry the cavities the water reached, protect what can be saved, and document every reading for your carrier — while your building stays as operational as the damage allows.
